I love the older Webley pistols and in particular, the Tempest & Hurricane and have several examples.

After all the hours spent restoring it, I had intended to keep it, but as I do actually have another .22 version, it’s sensible to pass this on to a new owner.

This is in stunning condition, with not a scratch, chip, gouge, signs of rust etc., and I can quite honestly state that you’d be hard pressed to find another as good as this and certainly not below £200!

As well as the external restoration, the pistol has been stripped, cleaned and correctly re.lubricated. A new breech seal has also been installed. The mainspring is in fine fettle and the pistol is producing in excess of 3ft.lbs with a 14gr pellet.

Any odd ‘marks’ you see in the photos. of the pistol are just reflections from the glossy surface!

Many Webley enthusiasts claim that in general, the .22 Tempests & Hurricanes, shoot better than the .177 versions. Personally, owning both calibres in both models, I haven’t detected much difference between them, but the .22 ones seem to pack a bigger wallop into the cans I shoot at!
