A Simulated Game Day provides the fun of a game day out of season. These days are rapidly growing in popularity as they offer all the fun and excitement of a game day with less expense and can offer great experience for novice shots. They also run throughout the year, enabling shooters to have some fantastic Summer sport and keep their eye in for the upcoming shooting season.
We run our Simulated Game Days on the 5000 acre West Wycombe Estate, owned by the Dashwood family for over 300 years. The estate is less than an hours drive from London and is situated in the rolling Chiltern Hills with easy access from the M40 and M4.
The Estate lends itself perfectly to simulated game shooting due to its steep, wooded valleys and high hedges. West Wycombe is also home to a fine driven pheasant and partridge shoot and we endeavour to keep our simulated drives as close to the real thing as possible. To achieve this we use an experienced course setter to ensure our targets are varied, challenging and mimic the traits of live quarry as accurately as possible.
We meet at Fryers Farm Barn in the morning for coffee and a hearty breakfast before drawing pegs and heading to the first of five drives of the day. Elevenses are served after the second drive in the grounds of West Wycombe House and guests are given the opportunity to relax and soak up the atmosphere of the Italienate architecture and landscaped gardens. We stop for lunch back at Fryers Farm Barn, before heading out and continuing onto two further drives in the afternoon. At the end of the day, guests will return to Fryers Farm Barn for a well earned drink and afternoon tea.
