Whether you choose to sink into an armchair by the inglenook fireplace with the morning’s newspaper, or rest your fell-weary limbs in one of the sumptuous lounges overlooking the Lake District in all its glory, you’ll find the perfect spot to recharge your batteries.

As well as 14 beautiful rooms and suites in the main house, there are a further six exquisite rooms in The Lodge, two luxury cottages and our fabulous Miss Potter suite where Hollywood star Renée Zellweger lived during filming of the movie about Beatrix Potter’s life.

All our bedrooms, suites and lodges have been done the Holbeck Ghyll way. That means you can enjoy an intoxicating view over Windermere that has been voted among the top 15 in the world, decanters of locally-distilled damson gin, fresh flowers, luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and robes, private terraces and even a hot tub or two.

Families and groups are perfectly-catered for in our beautiful cottages while many of the fabulous rooms in The Lodge can be inter-connecting.
