This is a commercial shoot of around four thousand acres
with over forty drives, it is extremely well run and organised with plenty of
game.

It is fairly flat land with most drives from cover crops
over hedges and belts of trees and with a bit of wind will test the best.

The day starts with Tea/Coffee/Bacon rolls in the
well-appointed shoot room after which we draw pegs and hear the briefing for
the day before climbing aboard the gun bus and heading off for the first drive,
this is predominantly a Partridge shoot, especially early season.

After a couple of drives we generally return to the shoot
room or if its fine a covered area outside for lunch, this is always game
orientated with such delicacies as Partridge pizza, Pheasant goujons, or
venison sausage rolls as well as hot soup and bread rolls. The usual fare of
sloe gin and bubbly is provided throughout the day.

We do another two drives in the afternoon but will do more
if needed, the emphasis is always to have a full days shooting rather than just
bagging up and going home.

We close the day back in the shoot room with tea and cake
before handing out the shoot cards and thanking the keeper in the usual manner.
